Alessandra Pecorella, SYT Course Director and Founder of Aditya Yoga School

Alessandra is a yogini of more than twenty five years. Born in Italy, Alessandra has been exposed to the Yoga lifestyle and teaIMG_0135chings from a very early age. Her mother, a Bhakta (one that follows the path of devotional Yoga) incorporated Ayurveda, Yoga Philosophy and way of life in her upbringing and she would travel extensively in India every year to be immersed in the Yogic culture.

Alessandra has followed her mum’s steps while pursuing her degree in Electronic Engineering and the bio EMF. This reflects in her style where she integrates the modern scientific approach to the ancient wisdom of yoga.

She has been studying in many different traditions and with a number of teachers and in particular she considers her main inspirations to be: Swami Kriyananda (Kriya Yoga, she has studied with Swami for several years in the nineties in California and Italy) and Shiva Rea (Prana Flow – Energetic Vinyasa Yoga in the Krishnamacharya lineage) that she has been studying with for the past ten years.

Alessandra is a Senior Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance UK, founder of Aditya Yoga School and Director of the Foundation Vinyasa Flow Teacher Training Course: Core Practices for Living Yoga 200hrs RYS. She teaches classes, fundraising events and workshops in London at The Life Centre, The Light Centre and Triyoga.

She teaches in London and internationally and she is the first Affiliate PranaFlow Trainer authorised to pass on the PranaFlow method created by Shiva Rea.

Alessandra has released a meditation cd, with live music, that is based on Kriyas and Tantra techniques available online through ITunes. You will find her in the main London Yoga Studio or offering training at her School Aditya Yoga.
